Yerry Mina and Alex Song

There was a great interest in Valencia’s former player. Finally, Barcelona beat everyone and paid 35 million euros for the midfielder. As a result of the 2016-17 seasons, Marca named him the worst acquisition in La Liga. Finally, Barcelona sent the player to Everton on loan.

Ricardo Quaresma; Juan Roman Riquelme and Philippe Coutinho

The 19-year-old Portuguese midfielder, Ricardo Quaresma, was considered one of the most promising players in Europe. Barcelona has paid € 6m to Sporting for him, but he spent just one season at Frank Rijkaard’s Barca.

Despite his great talent, Juan Roman Riquelme has never been a favorite of Louis van Gaal. The Dutchman did not allow him to appear and eventually let him go to Villarreal.

Brazilian Philippe Coutinho was bought for € 160m. Though, he spent just 18 months in Blaugrana. Despite a good start, he was eventually released from the team. Currently, Coutinho is playing in Bayern Munich.
