3 reasons why 5-times & 4-times IPL Champions MI & CSK knocked out of IPL 2022

Chennai Super Kings & Mumbai Indians: IPL 2022 is in its last phase. In the IPL, the spectators are seeing exciting matches every day. But for Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). IPL 2022 has been no less than a nightmare, which they would like to forget quickly.

The team did not get a strong start

The opening pair of Mumbai Indians proved to be a complete flop. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan could not give a strong start to the team in any match.

Due to which the pressure on the subsequent batsmen increased and the batting of Mumbai Indians would be scattered like a pack of cards.

Same was the case with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The team is yet to find the right opening pair. Ruturaj Gaikwad did not appear to be in his best rhythm. Robin Uthappa was seen opening in 7 matches with Gaikwad for Chennai, then Devon Conway came out to open in three matches. Mahendra Singh Dhoni could not find the right team combination for Chennai.

Star player did not play in IPL 2022

Chennai Super Kings included Deepak Chahar in their camp for Rs 14 crore in the mega auction. But due to injury, he was ruled out of the entire tournament. Mumbai Indians also included Jofra Archer in the team by paying a hefty price, but Jofra could not play in IPL 2022. Chris Jordan and Adam Milne also could not play many matches for Chennai due to injury. The lack of these players left the team in IPL 2022.

Weak bowling was the main reason

The bowlers of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings performed very poorly in IPL 2022. The bowlers of both the teams looted runs. The opposing batsmen scored a lot of runs against these bowlers. Indian pitches have always been helpful to spinners, but Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali flopped badly on these pitches.

Mumbai Indians out of playoff

In IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians have won only 1 out of 9 matches and the team is out of the race for the playoffs. At the same time, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have won three out of 10 matches of IPL 2022.

Even if the team wins the remaining four matches by a huge margin, it will still have to rely on other teams to make it to the playoffs. Chennai and Mumbai have won a total of 9 titles in IPL.
