Senegal International and Liverpool star, Sadio Mane donated £41,000 to help fight coronavirus in his home country.
The majority of the Liverpool supporters have been hailing the selflessness of Sadio Mane following his latest act of kindness.
The Senegalese star has become one of the Red’s most popular players since his arrival from Southampton in 2016.
Mane has not only shone with his attacking brilliance, scoring 77 goals in 161 appearances but his likable personality has often caught the eye.
Rarely seen without a smile on his face, there is almost an innocence about the 27-year-old that is endearing.
Mane is known to give back to those in his homeland. He has constructed schools and hospitals and helps all villagers who are in need. Without hesitation, he has provided another fantastic gesture amidst the COVID-19 outbreak around the world.
Liverpool’s No.10 has donated £41,000 to the national committee fighting against the current virus back in Senegal.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Senegal is 27. However, the figures are increasing with flights to and from France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Algeria and Tunisia suspended.
Mane’s agent shared a twitter video of the Liverpool forward urging his Senegalese compatriots to take the virus’ extremely seriously and also to wash and disinfect their hands to prevent the virus from spreading.
The agent revealed that Mane decided to make the donation spontaneously when he saw the evolution of the situation.
Mane’s kind act has not gone unnoticed among the Red’s supports who have taken to twitter to shower their attacking hero with praise.
