Liverpool legend, Sir Kenny Dalglish has been released from hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

Kenny Dalglish tested positive for Coronavirus after his admission to the hospital this week.

On Wednesday, the legend was admitted to the hospital for treatment of an infection that required intravenous antibiotics. This according to the club’s statement.

The 69-year-old is one of the most iconic figures in Red’s history. He had to be tested for COVID-19 as per the current procedures for those being admitted at the moment.

After the check, Dalglish tested positive despite showing no symptoms. The former Celtic and Scotland forward has now been released from the hospital and is recovering in self-isolation at home.

Dalglish praises NHS

Meanwhile, Sir Kenny Dalglish praised the NHS efforts across the nation after his release.

‘People may think my name got me the best of care but every patient in the NHS gets the best of care.” Said Dalglish.

“As a nation, we are lucky to have them and I wish them all well as they work tirelessly to help the country through this pandemic.”

The legend, Dalglish is Liverpool’s icon. He has won six league championships as a player and three as a manager.

Basically, his admission to hospital on Friday led to well wishes from Reds stars Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher and the club’s current captain, Jordan Henderson.

Similarly, Dalglish’s son, the former footballer, Paul Dalglish and daughter Kelly Cates thanked those who sent messages to their father.”

“It is not my place to comment on my old man. He can do that for himself in due course.” Wrote Paul on twitter.

“Truly humbling messages from supporters of all teams. I’m sure we can all agree this is more important than football and that we are all united as blues to support the NHS. Stay safe everyone.” He concluded.

Kelly added, “Thank you so much for your lovely messages and I’m really sorry I can’t reply to them all.”
