Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty sparked a remarkable AC Milan comeback victory against title-chasing Juventus as the San Siro.

After an uneventful first half, AC Milan scored four unanswered send-half goals having gone 2-0 down to Juventus strikes from Adrien Rabiot and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ibrahimović’s 62nd-minute penalty offered hope before Frank Kessie and Rafael Leao completed a five-minute turnaround.

Ante Rebic added a fourth to secure a memorable victory with 10 minutes to go.

Juventus defeat sees them miss the chance to register their first shot on target. But, Rabiot’s spectacular finish from the edge of the box after running with the ball from his own goals sparked the contest into life.

Ronaldo met Juan Cuadrado’s pass to score for a fifth successive game and leave Juventus in control. However, Ibrahimović’s spot-kick which was awarded after Leonardo Bonucci was penalized for handball flipped the momentum.

AC Milan was soon on level after Kessie wriggled through the unchallenging Juventus defense while Leao beat Wojciech Szczesny at his new post from a tight angle.

A fired-up Milan continued to attack Sarri’s shell-shocked side and was rewarded as Rebic swept home to seal three points that sent a resurgent Milan to fifth.

Ibrahimovic- I am president, coach, and player

The 38-year-old Ibrahimovic steadily claimed Milan would have won the Serie A title had they signed him at the beginning of the 2019/20 season.

He said, “If I was here from the beginning of the season, we would have won the Scudetto”.

“I am president, coach, and player. But they only pay me as a footballer”.

Ibrahimovic rejoined Milan where he had previously won the Scudetto in 2011 as a free agent in January after leaving MLS and the LA Galaxy.

The former Sweden international is out of contract at the end of the season. However, he acknowledges he may not appear in front of a full San Siro again.

“There is still a month. So, let’s see”. Added Ibrahimovic.

“There are things we cannot control. Playing without fans is a pity, a strange situation. We do our job, we are professionals. It could have been the last time they have seen me live in San Siro”.
