Jurgen Klopp is preparing to splash cash for January transfer window signings after his side’s injury struck wears out his defense.

The Reds coach, Klopp is facing a defensive crisis after his three first-choice backlines were sidelined as a result of injuries. Consequently, among the three, two-Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are most likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Moreover, the defensive crisis has exacerbated by Trent Alexander Arnold’s absence with Klopp revealing he is not yet back to training following a calf injury.

The manager is also without Mohamed Salah after he tested positive for COVID-19. The forward’s absence has made things worse with the manager hinting he has made it clear his displeasure to the Egyptian international after he attended his brother’s wedding before joining with his country for international duty. But fortunately, the winger is expected back on the play-grounds on Monday the earliest.

“As long as he’s positive, he cannot be back with the team. He’s now positive for a while so he will get tested again. If that test shows up negative then we will follow the procedure and see when Mo is available for us again”.

“There is absolutely nothing to say in the public about the things I talk to my players about. What I can tell you is when I was in Germany for summer, a friend moved his birthday party only because of me”.

“Fifty people attended and at the last minute I decided not to go. And that was only a birthday party and it was allowed in Germany. It was outside but I didn’t go”.

“That is only one situation. In other situations, there is more social pressure on you and a brother’s wedding is a very special moment”.

“Sometimes it doesn’t work out and something happens. And now we are in the situation we are in. All the rest is between Mo and me. I said what I said, we spoke in the way we spoke about it. We have done that already. We are fine”.

As a result, for the first time, the coach has admitted he may be forced to go in search of answers to his injury nightmare when the January transfer window opens.

He said, “We will see. I don’t know what we can do in January. That we look for solutions in the transfer market-that is clear. But at the moment we have the situation we have”.

Good News From Klopp

The manager did not hesitate to reveal the good news that Fabinho, Thiago, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all back on the training ground. To the good news, he added, “they are in a good way. All closer. But we will see who is close enough for the weekend”.
