In a round-robin match between the Super Kings and the Pretoria Capitals last week, match officials reported Phangiso.
Phangiso’s action was examined by an impartial bowling action panel made up of Zama Ndamane, Vincent Barnes, and Vernon Philander, who discovered that it did not adhere to the rules of a lawful bowling action as specified by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The Super Kings have asked that a lab examination of Phangiso’s action be conducted at an ICC Accredited Center.
If evidence demonstrates that his activity was lawful, he will be permitted to continue bowling in the tournament.
