AC Milan are Close to Negotiating a Contract with Divock Origi,
Divock Origi is expected to depart Liverpool this summer on a free transfer and AC Milan is close to agreeing on a contract with the Liverpool striker.
The 26-year-old will become a free agent at the conclusion of the season and has been permitted to speak with international clubs since January, with Milan spearheading negotiations.
Liverpool have the option to extend the Belgian’s contract provided he makes a specified number of starts, although that is doubtful given his five Premier League substitute appearances this season.
Origi has been at Anfield since 2014 but has never been able to secure a starting position and has instead been deployed primarily as a substitute.
Despite this, he has scored memorable goals for the Reds, including in the Champions League semi-final and final in 2018-19, as well as a 96th-minute winner against Everton in the same campaign.
He lost nearly two months of the season earlier this season due to a knee injury, but when he returned, he faced competition from Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, and now Luis Diaz.
