Paul Scholes believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has earned the right to see the current campaign after putting together an all-star cast.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Deserves More Time

The club legend insisted that Man Utd should stick with boss Solskjaer at least until the end of the season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has just started his third full season at hot Old Trafford, initially drafted to replace Mourinho back in December 2018. Solskjaer has yet to deliver any major silverware and questions are being asked about his tactical approach after the Man Utd’s mediocre start to the 2021-22 campaign, but Paul believes he deserves more time after putting together an exciting squad.

What did Scholes say about Solskjaer?

The likes of Fernandes, Maguire, Cavani, Sancho and Varane were all brought in during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign, and he was even able to arrange for Ronaldo to return from Juve on the September deadline.

Paul Scholes, who won 11 Premier League titles and two Champions League titles at Man Utd between 1993 and 2003, feels his ex-teammate has earned the right to try and roll these star names together, as Paul Scholes said he thinks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves a chance.

If anyone thinks about the last three or four years where Man Utd has been, that was shocking, right? It was not nice to watch until Ole came. It took Ole two to three years to build a squad where they think the pieces are in the puzzle, it’s just getting them in the right organization.

There was a lot of excitement at the start of the season after four or five games; they beat Newcastle and beat Leeds and Villa and Everton’s last two games have been disappointing. But Paul thinks Ole deserves a chance. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has built a squad where he should be given a year at least this season to show that he can manage it and win trophies.
