Scott Edwards has been appointed as the captain of the Netherlands squad for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup, as announced by the KNCB. The team composition for the tournament closely resembles the one that competed in last year’s 50-over World Cup.

Despite a few notable omissions, including Durham’s Colin Ackermann prioritizing his commitments in the T20 Blast, the Dutch team is looking strong. Tim Pringle, son of former New Zealand international Chris Pringle, makes a return to the squad after missing out on the last World Cup due to injury. Additionally, left-arm spinner Daniel Doram is back in the team after a long absence.

The Netherlands will rely on established opener Max O’Dowd, along with a mix of experienced players and promising youngsters, to make an impact in the upcoming T20 Tri-series against Scotland and Ireland. The team’s preparations include a series of T20Is at home before traveling to the USA for warm-up matches and their first group match against Nepal.

Head coach Ryan Cook expressed confidence in the team’s balance and ability to perform in different conditions. The squad’s selection reflects the depth and quality of cricket in the Netherlands, with a focus on rising to the challenges ahead in the tournament.

The Netherlands squad for the T20 World Cup includes Scott Edwards, Max O’Dowd, Vikram Singh, Michael Levitt, and other talented players ready to showcase their skills on the global stage. With a mix of experienced campaigners and exciting prospects, the Dutch team is gearing up for an exciting campaign in the T20 World Cup.
