There is renewed confidence that Dybala will sign a new contract at Juve following positive negotiations between the club and player’s agent Jorge Antun.

Negotiations are ongoing

Paulo Dybala’s contract at Allianz Stadium expires in the summer of 2022 and negotiations have continued for some time as the Argentine striker pauses on whether or not to commit to a renewal in Turin. However, the latest round of negotiations between Juventus and Jorge Antun went well and further discussions are scheduled over the weekend, amid hopes that a deal will be on the horizon. Jorge Antun met with Juventus Club officials on Wednesday lunch break, arriving at the training facility around noon before leaving at 1:20 pm.

The talks have reinforced the confidence on both sides that the deal will be struck and that Paulo Dybala will still remain Juve’s footballer beyond the upcoming season. Paulo Dybala, meanwhile, is coming up and happy to play for Juve as negotiations progress, which means he could start on the side of Massimiliano Allegri when they host Atalanta in a friendly on Saturday. Juventus then kicks off its 2021-22 Serie A campaign at Udinese on 22 August.

A little about Paulo Dybala

Negotiating fresh terms with the 27-year-old has become a top priority for Juventus, with the club hoping to close the deal quickly and bring any off-site talks in Turin to an end. Paulo currently raises around € 7 million per season, but will see salaries raised to between eight or nine million as conditions are renewed. Juventus believes that the proposal will be accepted as acceptable by Paulo Dybala and his entourage.

Massimiliano hopes that will be so, with the returning Juventus boss making it clear that the forward will play a key role in his future plans. Paulo Dybala has spent the last six years with the Bianconeri, signing from Palermo in 2015. Dybala has scored 100 goals for the club in 254 appearances and helped them secure five Serie A titles and four wins in Coppa Italia.
