Manchester United’s head coach, Erik ten Hag, has mentioned that there might be a slight possibility of Alejandro Garnacho returning from his injury to face West Ham.

Possibility of Garnacho’s Return

Erik ten Hag, the Dutch head coach, mentioned that there is a slim chance that the forward might make a comeback after almost two months of absence due to an ankle injury. The team is set to face West Ham and is looking for a strong response following a 1-0 loss to Brighton on Thursday. The defeat at Amex Stadium slightly impacted United’s aspiration to secure a top-four position. Nonetheless, the Red Devils have a history of recovering after losses, winning their next match after every defeat except for the one against Brighton on the opening day, followed by a loss to Brentford.

Ten Hag addressed a press conference, saying, “The squad will likely remain the same [as against Brighton], perhaps with Garnacho‘s involvement, but that remains to be seen.” He expressed confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back after a defeat.

Challenges and Opportunities Ahead

Out of their eight Premier League losses this season, seven occurred away from home. Furthermore, United has been unable to secure victories against any team in the top nine in the table when playing away. However, they have performed well against teams in the lower half of the standings, and they should be optimistic about their chances against their former manager, David Moyes, and West Ham, who are currently 15th and only four points clear of the relegation zone.

Ten Hag emphasized the importance of moving on and preparing for the upcoming match against West Ham. He stated that the players must take responsibility, and he has faith in their capabilities.

Upcoming Matches

United will face West Ham on Sunday, followed by a six-day break before their next match at home against Wolves.
