Ralf Rangnick talked about the talents of Erik ten Hag, who is currently doing wonders at Johan Cruyff ArenA.

A little about the topic

Red Devils interim manager named Ajax boss Erik ten Hag as one of the best coaches in Europe amid Man Utd’s search for a new permanent manager. Man Utd was drafted to Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis after the decision to sack Solskjaer following the team’s poor start in the 2021-22 campaign. Ralf has since managed to hold his own on the ship, rekindling Man Utd’s hopes of a Premier League top four finish, but will move into an advisory role at the end of the season.

What did Ralf say about Erik ten Hag?

A permanent replacement for Solskjaer is still being sought, with Erik ten Hag reported as one of the leading candidates for the role. Ralf is not aware of any discussions going on with the Dutchman, but lists him among the elite trainers in the business. Ralf Rangnick said he doesn’t know where to start as a person, but he has seen Ajax evolve since Erik ten Hag got there.

Rangnick is aware of the work Erik did when he was at Bayern Munich and obviously he is one of the best coaches in Europe, but there are several others. According to them they haven’t talked about any new manager so far and that’s why they haven’t talked about him.

Ralf was ahead of Man Utd’s decisive Man Utd derby with Man City on Sunday and went on to show that he already had a preferred option to fill his dugout spot. Rangnick said they haven’t talked about it yet. Not with director of football John Murtough or anyone else, they haven’t talked about it in the weeks and months since he’s been here. Ralf knows his mind, but they haven’t talked about it yet, so that’s all he can tell you.
