Pakistan’s T20 World Cup Squad Confirmed, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim Included

Pakistan has announced its final squad for the upcoming T20I World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean, with Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim both making the cut. The team, led by Babar Azam, includes five players who will be making their T20 World Cup debut.

Amir and Wasim had recently reversed their decisions to retire from international cricket, earning spots on the national team once again. Notable absences from the squad include Hasan Ali, Salman Ali Agha, and Mohammad Irfan Khan, who were part of Pakistan’s recent matches against England.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expressed optimism about Haris Rauf’s recovery from injury in a media release. The team is scheduled to begin their campaign on June 6th against co-hosts USA in Dallas.

The confirmed squad for the T20 World Cup includes: Babar Azam (Captain), Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Fakhar Zaman, Azam Khan (wicketkeeper), Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Abbas Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
