English former footballer Andy Cole claims the Red Devils have brought back the old Marcus Rashford this season and the striker has regained a lost spark.

What did Cole say about Marcus Rashford?

Marcus Rashford registered just five goals for Manchester United through 32 appearances last season – a record that represents a personal low since he made a senior breakthrough at Old Trafford. The English striker was already up to three efforts through six outings of this term, returning to the central striking berth, with an appeal able to be reduced to a change in approach that saw him return to basics.

Former Red Devils striker Andy Cole told the club’s official website that seeing Marcus Rashford offer a positive response to his doubters is the first time they see Rashford running from behind and pulling teams since he first made the first team. Cole thinks he’s gone from his strengths last season, which stretched the teams. According to Andy, if they look at how he plays now, when he first got on the team, people will turn around and say that this is the old Marcus Rashford. The English former footballer says if Rashford sticks to this he will score goals.

A little about Marcus Rashford

Marcus’ struggles in 2021-22 saw him slip out of the England squad, but a timely return to form means that – if injuries can be avoided – the English striker could enter the fray for a spot in Southgate’s plans for the World Cup final in Qatar.

The Red Devils frontman did not feature in the UEFA Nations League finals against Italy and Germany as Marcus Rashford nursed the knock, but the player may be fit to return to domestic action on Sunday when Manchester United, who have won their last four games in the PL, take part in the derby with neighbors from the Citizens.
