Harry Kane has already cemented his place in history, according to Antonio Conte, but the Tottenham manager is daring the striker to become one of the best of all time.

Conte is still ‘pressing’ Kane to improve his thinking despite the fact that he has reached new heights this season.

‘I believe he is deserving of a prominent place in football.’ ‘I believe Harry is at the appropriate age to demonstrate that he has the potential to be one of the best, not just in the world, but especially in history,’ Conte said.

‘I believe he has already gone down in history since he scored a lot of goals for the club and for the national team.’ ‘He’s the captain,’ says the narrator.

The Spurs coach added: ‘I reiterate we’re talking about a tremendous player, so it’s extremely difficult to improve him but we’re trying to work, to push him to have the top ambition to become the best striker.’

Kane has evolved into more than a goal scorer, according to Conte, who described him as “a No 9 who can also be a No 10.”

Kane has led Spurs’ recent recovery, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in his previous eight Premier League outings after failing to land a move to Manchester City last summer.

Conte was at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night to see Karim Benzema, 34, score a hat-trick for Real Madrid against Chelsea.

Kane is only 28 years old, and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino believes now is the best time for him to solidify his place among the elite.

Conte continued, ‘He is at the right age to consolidate and become one of the best in the world.’

‘He’s really talented to make assists and to put the ball where he wants. We try to take advantage of this and pass the ball to him.’ Conte, on the other hand, is determined to take Kane to the next level: ‘I’m trying to improve his effectiveness, not his talent, by being in the box and a striker.’

Conte confirmed that both Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon have returned to training following injury difficulties ahead of tomorrow’s match against Aston Villa.

Spurs head to Villa Park following three consecutive victories and ‘a lot’ of development. They are now in a battle for a top-four spot with Arsenal, with the two teams tied on points.

Arsenal does have a game in hand, with a crucial north London derby scheduled for May.

Conte, on the other hand, is adamant that the Champions League race will be decided solely on the basis of this match.

‘Arsenal, United, West Ham, and Wolverhampton are all in solid positions till the end,’ he remarked.

‘I think it’s important to win derbies, and I think it’s important to win specific games, but I also think it’s necessary to win every time, especially in the second half of the season. ‘There are eight games left, and each one is crucial for us. It has to be the last.’
