Arsenal Extends Bukayo Saka Contract, Who Had Been Linked with a Move to Liverpool.
According to recent rumors, Bukayo Saka does not intend to leave Arsenal this summer and has therefore extended his contract at the Emirates.
The dynamic winger has established himself as one of the club’s top players in recent years, which is a huge achievement considering he is still only 20 years old.
Saka’s outstanding achievements throughout the 2020/21 season earned him the club’s player of the year award. Additionally, he has already scored seven goals and provided four assists in the Premier League this season.
His consistency has not gone unnoticed outside the Emirates Stadium, with reports linking him with a move to Liverpool, given that his contract in north London is slated to expire in the summer of 2024.
Despite this, it was reported in January that the Gunners intend to offer the England international a new contract at the end of the current season.
The youngster’s importance in the team as one of the most essential players will therefore be reflected in a new deal.
Now, trade guru Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Saka’s future, claiming that Arsenal fans should not be concerned about a summer departure.
“They’re also working on Bukayo Saka’s future,” Romano said on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel.
“It’s always Liverpool speculations, that’s what I asked yesterday, and the response I got was that Bukayo loves Arsenal, he loves the club, he’s a nice guy and a real guy, and that’s why he’s not intending to leave in the summer.”
He isn’t thinking about a new contract right now since he wants to focus on the season, but he will meet with Arsenal at the end of the season to discuss a new agreement.”
