Arsenal have confirmed that as things stand, Eddie Nketiah will be leaving Emirates Stadium as his current deal expires.

A little about the topic

The Gunners included the English striker on their published roster at the end of the 2021-22 campaign but remain keen to point out that new terms could still be worked out with those currently heading towards free agency. French footballer Alexandre Lacazette has already agreed a return to Lyon after severing ties with Arsenal, with the seasoned French forward heading home after five years, who have delivered 206 matches and 71 goals in north London. PL heavyweights will also part ways with three members of their academy ranks when their respective terms end before June 30th.

How will Eddie Nketiah leave Arsenal?

Eddie Nketiah has been on the Arsenal books since 2015 and debuted in September 2017. The Englishman had to be patient in chasing regular game time with the loan spell adopted at Leeds for the 2019-20 season. It appeared at one point as if Eddie Nketiah was destined to get away from north London as he stayed down the pecking order in 2021-22, but made his way into Arteta’s plans after Aubameyang departed for Barca and it became apparent that Alexandre would not stick around.

Eddie finished the season with a personal best goal return of 10 in 27 matches and interest from the likes of Crystal Palace – run by Gunners legend Vieira – began to show. by the end of May that Eddie was ready to complete the turnaround on his original weekend plans and agree to a contract extension.

No agreement has yet been announced there, but the Gunners have said in announcing their released roster that they look out for any further developments regarding player contract renewals; joining/re-joining them; It was also said that the departures from them would be officially announced as soon as they were confirmed.
