Arsenal offered Atletico money and a player for Thomas Partey
As you may know, Arsenal are trying to sign Thomas Partey. But Atletico Madrid did not accept the offer of the Londoners.
London’s Arsenal will do their best to buy Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid. But, on the other hand, they are trying to spend as little money as possible.
The British edition, The Guardian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal offered the Spanish club 25 million euros and a player in exchange for the midfielder. But Atletico strictly refused the offer.
According to the source, Atletico Madrid want Arsenal to pay the ransom under the contract in full, which amounts to 50 million euros in exchange for Thomas. Due to the amount, the parties can not reach an agreement.
Recall that in the 2019/20 La Liga season, Thomas Partey played in 35 games and scored three goals. The “Athletes” took the 3rd place in the table of the draw. So, they won a trip to the UEFA Champions League’s group stage.
As for Arsenal, the “Gunners” took the 8th place in the English Premier League and remained beyond the European Cups. However, if Arsenal beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final on 1 August, they will be eligible to play in the Europa League.
