The Gunners’ manager is 100 percent convinced that English footballer Jack Wilshere can still play Premier League football, but remains reluctant to speculate on whether an acquaintance can earn a contract at Arsenal.

A little about the topic

A product of the Arsenal academy system trained with North London outfit after dipping into the free agent pool on the back of its release by Bournemouth. Jack has gone through his fair share of misfortunes on the front with injuries recently, which has contributed to his being without a club, but he’s still only 29 years old and boasts 34 England caps to his name.

What did Arteta say about Jack Wilshere?

Mikel Arteta, who once played alongside Jack in the Gunners’ midfield, told reporters about Jack’s influence at London’s Colney that it’s great to have him around first and foremost. It is this type of character that adds a special feeling to the club. Jack Wilshere comes every day with a smile on his face, trying to do his best.

His talent is undeniable. When Jack is seen in training, Arteta thinks they’ve had some players say he is the best in training. So Jack has it. According to Arteta, Jack Wilshere is now making his coaching badges and it is up to him to decide what the next step in his career will be and they are here to support that.

Insisted on whether the man who left Arsenal for West Ham in 2018 would be able to compete once more on the top flight stage, Mikel said 100 percent, and if Jack has any doubts, Arteta can tell him so.  Jack seems to be making a good impression on everyone at Arsenal, but Mikel gives little back when it comes to a potential offer of terms to a former teammate. Discussing whether Jack could be given the opportunity to add to his 197 performances for the club, Mikel said it was a different story.
