Barca turned down a €150m offer for Ansu Fati
Barcelona have rejected a €150 million offer for Ansu Fati. The Blaugrana were made aware of the bid by the teenager’s new agent, Jorge Mendes, a few days ago. The offer included €125 million in transfer fees, plus an additional €25 million in additions based on player performance. However, Barcelona wanted nothing to do with the offer and refused to enter into negotiations over the sale of the 17-year-old. Earlier this year, the club was willing to pay €100 million for Ansu Fati. Another bid submitted to Barcelona by Mendes, although he was not the player’s agent at the time. The Catalans never considered letting the striker go.
The club’s name that made this latest €150 million bid is unknown. But the English press reported that Manchester United has a strong interest in Ansu Fati. The Red Devils want to sign a star striker as they try to compete against the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea. Ansu Fati has recently become a first-team player at Barcelona, in which his release point has grown from €170 million to €400 million. Currently, the Spain international has not signed the extension of the contract for the Camp Nou. His current deal expires in 2022.
