Fans may say that Bayern does not need more strikers but yet, they signed another one. On the very last day of the transfer window, Bayern signed Choupo-Moting.
One-year deal for Maxim
As you may know, Bayern won the Champions League trophy in August. According to Flick, the team is in perfect shape and they must not lose momentum. That’s why Bayern signed the striker for bench. Although the team has Robert Lewandowski who just became the European player of the year, Maxim was needed.
Choupo-Moting played for PSG in the past and he scored a few important goals. Along with Mbappe, Neymar, Di Maria and Icardi, Choupo could not keep up with competition. In Bayern Munich, he will have bigger competition. Here he will compete with players who won the Champions League and go for a second trophy in a row.
Robert Lewandowski is happy with the current situation
Poland’s striker won the Uefa’s main trophy. Finally he got the recognition that he deserved for many years. After getting the recognition in Nyon, Robert returned to Munich and scored four goals in one match. During the game against Hertha, Robert scored four goals and he is back on top of the table.
After the match, Muller joked that Lewandowski was slowly forgotten due to not scoring in every match. Robert posted on social media that he is very happy and hopes to score more and help the team. By the way, Robert’s fourth goal helped Bayern to get three points.
Choupo-Moting has to compete with Robert Lewandowski. Fans believe that Maxim is still young and he may sign a contract for more years. One-year deal means that Maxim has one year to get tested at Bayern. If he fits the plans of Flick, then he may extend the contract.
