Poland Striker is in perfect form, and he could score goals in the first nine matches of the Bundesliga. After the win against Union, Bayern tops the Bundesliga standings.

Pre-match preparations

Bayern Munich has a tough away match in midweek. Munich played on Wednesday against Olympiakos. Kovac’s players could win the game, but it was reliable performance as they have to increase the lead every time Olympiakos scored a goal.

The latest match at ALLIANZ Arena was worst from Bayern players. Munich players lost the game against Eintracht and lost the leadership of the Bundesliga. On Saturday, Kovac and his players had a perfect chance to top the table of the Bundesliga.

1st half of the match

Kovac gave rest to Gnabry, who is an ideal form and scored goals in the last few games. On the other hand, there was no time to rest for Robert Lewandowski. Poland striker had to score one goal to become a historical person in German Bundesliga.

Bayern started the match with Robert Lewandowski in the center forward position. Kovac tested Perisic on the right-wing and Coman on the left-wing of attack. As it seems, Kovac was correct with the formation as Bayern had a dominant performance.

Benjamin Pavard was the first player who scored in the 1st half. Bayern’s defender scored a goal from outside the penalty area. It was a beautiful goal, and fans cheered French players.

Munich players had two more shots on goals, but they could not convert those shots into the goal. The first half ended in favor of Bayern 1:0;

2nd half of the match

Football fans had a close eye on Robert Lewandowski’s performance. Robert scored a goal and became a historical figure in the Bundesliga. Lewandowski scored in the first nine matches of German Bundesliga and topped the record of Dortmund’s Aubameyang.

We should mention another historic achievement for Robert – he scored in 13 consecutive matches for Bayern. It’s another personal record for Poland captain.

After the second goal, Bayern started playing poorly and decided to rest a bit. Kovac’s player gave ball and possession to Union, and they almost lost three important points.

Union Berlin could score the first goal in the 58th minute. After a VAR check, the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Sebastian Andersson took the responsibility, but he failed as Manuel Neuer was invincible and saved a penalty kick.

On the 84th minute, the referee pointed on the penalty spot for the second time in the 2nd half. Sebastian Polter was brave enough to take responsibility and successfully converted shot into the goal.

Overall, Bayern won the match and took a valuable three points against Union Berlin. Now, Bayern is the new leader of the Bundesliga.
