Perth Scorchers take on Sydney Sixers in the Qualifier match of the BBL 2021-22 on Saturday at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. Both have been the two best teams in the tournament.

Perth Scorchers topped the points table at the end of the league stage with 11 wins in 14 matches. Perth Scorchers are coming into the game on the back of a 6-wicket win over Brisbane Heat. Scorchers restricted Brisbane Heat to 155 in the first innings. Max Bryant was brilliant with the bat, however, he found little support from the other end.
It was a combined bowling effort from Perth Scorchers. The likes of Behrendorff and Peter Hatzoglou picked two wickets each, while Marsh, Agar, and Tye picked one apiece.
Peter Scorchers managed to chase down the score in 18.4 overs. Mitchell Marsh, yet again, played a brilliant knock with the bat. He scored 59 runs in 34 balls, while the likes of Kurtis Patterson (26 off 20) and Colin Munro (24 of 28) also made valuable contributions with the bat.
Facing them are Sydney Sixers, who too have performed admirably in the tournament. Sydney Sixers finished at number two on the points table at the end of the league stage. They too emerged victorious in their last game against Brisbane Heat.
Sydney Sixers batted first and managed to score 178 runs in the first innings. Daniel Hughes starred with the bat, scoring 59 runs in 45 balls. Christian also made a valuable contribution of 32 runs in 24 balls. Henriques also scored 28 runs off 18 balls.
Sixers managed to restrict Brisbane Heat to 151 runs in the second innings, thereby winning the game by 27 runs. Hayden Kerr picked three wickets with the ball, including the important wickets of Chris Lynn and Ben Duckett. Ben Dwarshuis also was brilliant with the ball as he picked 2 for 35 runs in his 4 overs.
