BCCI Latest Annual Contract 2022: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli gets A Grade offer, Check out what other players get

The Indian Cricket Contract Board (ICB) has issued a new central contract of players. In this, many strong players of the Indian team have suffered losses.

Former captain Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have got grade plus along with team captain Rohit Sharma.

But with and Cheteshwar Pujara and all-rounder Hardik Pandya and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha have suffered losses. The players who have been given contracts by BCCI have been divided into four categories.

Top Category:

Top Category A Plus, in which the players involved will get Rs 7 crore from the board. Players of A-grade will get 5 crores, players of B grade will get 3 crores and players of C grade will get one crore rupees.

The new contract of all the players is from 1 October 2021 to September 2022. The first grade was included in A. Now both these players are in grade B. Test series is to be held between India and Sri Lanka from Friday.

Both Pujara and Rahane have not found a place in the team announced for this series. Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha is also not in this team. He has been ranked in grade C instead of B. Hardik Pandya has suffered the biggest loss.

They have come from grade A to C. Hardik has been away from the cricket field since the 2021 T20 World Cup due to fitness. Apart from these players, veteran batsman Shikhar Dhawan has also suffered.

Dhawan now plays only ODI cricket. They have come from A to B grades. Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been demoted to C grade.

Along with this, many players have also benefited. Akshar Patel and Mohammad Siraj have come in grades from C to B. Shreyas Iyer have also graded B. Rishabh Pant, who was the vice-captain of the team during the West Indies series, KL Rahul, who was the captain of the team in the ODI series on the tour of South Africa, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin remain in Grade A.
