The English Premier League has published a list of nominees for the Best Coach of the Season award on its official website.
No place was found among the nominees for the award for Josep Guardiola. Under his coaching Manchester City took second place in the tournament table.
The list includes four specialists, including, of course, champion Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. His rivals are: Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City) and Chris Wilder (Sheffield United).
The German specialist gave the Merseysiders the championship after a 30-year pause. In addition, the team scored 99 points in 38 rounds and set a club record.
Frank Lampard, who took over at Chelsea in London last summer, managed to take the team to 4th place in the Champions League’s standings in his first campaign.
Rodgers’ Leicester have been in the TOP 4 of the Premier League for a long time. But eventually Leicester came in fifth. Wilder Sheffield, who was promoted to the Premier League a year ago, was soon able to establish himself in the elite division and eventually finished ninth in the table.
