The feisty wicketkeeper batsman of Team India, Rishabh Pant, has been absent from international cricket for an extended period due to an injury he suffered on December 30, 2022, in a car accident. Since then, Pant has undergone medical treatment for his collateral and anterior cruciate ligaments. Doctors were concerned about the state of his posterior cruciate ligament, but a recent update about his injury brought good news, which indicates that Pant will no longer require another surgery and that his recovery progress is much better now.

There were many speculations regarding Pant’s multiple surgeries, which were imprecise, but in reality, Pant never had multiple surgeries. He was monitored every two weeks, and there was much concern about another surgery, but now his progress has been much better, which is very fortunate news, and this means that he could make his comeback much earlier than it was expected. Pant was recently seen at the Mumbai airport last week. The reason for his visit is still not clear, but it is possible that he was here for advice regarding his recovery process.

The 25-year-old is recovering from several injuries , he can walk on his own now, but there’s still a brace on his knee. He is currently ruled out for the entire 2023 season. Due to this, he will miss the World Test Championship final along with the Asia Cup and World Cup. But there are only positive signs in his recovery process, with which he is making a quick rehabilitation and will be fit soon. A BCCI official revealed that Pant is in good spirits now , he can walk longer without a crutch, and his rehab is also now strengthening well. He will be back in the training phase soon. Recently, Rishabh was also seen at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy, where he interacted with under-16 cricketers. BCCI shared the photos of this session and expressed gratitude to Pant for giving his time to young talent.

The boys of the Under-16 performance camp at NCA had a great opportunity to interact with Rishabh Pant, where they discussed topics like cricket, hard work, life, and more. BCCI shared the photos and tweeted “It was very generous of Rishabh Pant to spare some time to interact with these young boys”. Pant has been regularly updating his fans about his recovery and progress through posts on social media. Recently, he posted a video on his Instagram account where he throws the crutch in his physician’s hands and starts walking without any support.
