Zidane’s team had an excellent match against Eibar. It was a crucial away game for Los Blancos. After September, Madrid could not win away match in La Liga.
Pre-match preparations
Real Madrid has a great week. Zidane’s team scored six in a mid-week match against Galatasaray. Rodrygo was under the spotlight as youngster scored three goals and gave an assist to Benzema.
Real Madrid played successfully in mid-week and almost got a spot in the Champions League play-offs. Eibar had a whole week to prepare for the match against Los Blancos.
1st half of the match
Real Madrid played a dominant game on Saturday. The first half of the match was exciting. Los Blancos players were playing like they have not done before in this season. Many beautiful crosses, short passes, and counter-attacks that led to 3 goals in the first 45 minutes.
Zidane gave a rest to Toni Kroos and Rodrygo. German player left out of the list of players, but Rodrygo was on the bench. French coach could not give rest to Valverde and Casemiro duo as it’s essential back-side for Real Madrid’s midfield.
Los Blancos scored the first goal in the 17th minute. Luka Modric got the ball in the penalty area and tried to score a goal. Eibar’s goalkeeper could save, but unfortunately, goalkeeper’s ball went to Karim, and french striker quickly converted shot into the goal.
In just 2 minutes, Eden Hazard dribbled through two defenders, but De Blasis fouled in the penalty area. Sergio Ramos took the ball and decided to score the penalty. Real Madrid’s captain scored an easy penalty kick and increased the lead of the team.
Real Madrid got right for another penalty kick. In just 10 minutes after Sergio’s goal, Lucas Vazquez got the ball on the left side. He decided to dribble through two defenders, but one of them brought him down. The referee pointed again to the penalty spot. Fans were waiting for Sergio’s second goal, but Captain gave a chance to Karim Benzema. French striker quickly converted penalty kick into the goal.
2nd half of the match
Zidane’s boys were playing good in the second half. Scoring three goals in the first half was enough for the Madrid side, so they decided to enjoy another half and prepare for another match.
Real Madrid scored the fourth goal in the 61st minute. Youngster Valverde got pass outside the penalty area and shoot the ball to score. As it seems, Valverde scores the first goal this season.
Los Blancos now has 25 points and leads the La Liga table. Barcelona will have a match later on Saturday and may take Real’s first place if Messi’s and win the game
