Manchester United midfielder Casemiro says his big transfer to the Red Devils makes him feel like a 15-year-old when a player plays with a smile again.

What did Casemiro say?

Casemiro completed a £60m ($74m) move to Old Trafford from Real Madrid during the summer of 2022, with the 30-year-old leaving the Santiago Bernabéu as a five-time Champions League winner. Questions have been raised about whether the Brazilian could make a decisive impact in English football, but the defensive midfielder has brought the Red Devils’ engine room to life by becoming a mascot presence for Manchester United.

The Brazilian international said about a new beginning to breathe new life into his game, that when they come to a new club they always dream of making history, especially if they see the greatness of this club. They know history. But according to Casemiro, of course, he was aware that it took some time to adapt and that the rivals had a long-term plan in front of them, like the Gunners, Man City and the Reds.

They all have managers who have been there for a while and therefore have an advantage. Casemiro is happy with his adaptation here, his teammates and staff really help him. Also, with English, it was quite difficult, but the Brazilian is really trying to get better.

Casemiro added that everyone here was great with him and from day one Casemiro feels at home here. He appreciates all the efforts the club has made to bring him here, including John Murtough. Casemiro says that he is very comfortable in the Red Devils, he is extremely happy to be here and enjoy every moment like a 15 year old! But according to him, the most important thing is to see the team growing.

A little about the topic

The Brazilian player helped make Manchester United competitive at the highest level once again, with more consistency added to their game, and the defensive midfielder registered two goals – taking him to four for the club as a whole – during a 3-1 victory over Reading in the fourth round FA Cup.

Brazil defensive midfielder Casemiro inspired the Red Devils to a 3-1 victory over champion side Reading as Ten Hag advanced to the next round with relief.

How was everything?

The Manchester United manager called the Red Devils a strong squad and it paid off. The high-energy, fast-paced performance didn’t quite match the half-time figure, but three quick goals in the second half, including an aesthetically pleasing brace from a Brazilian player and a goal for Fred, gave the Red Devils what they deserved to progress. In an obvious choice, the Brazilian was in the best position in midfield for the Red Devils, scoring a fantastic batted goal before hitting home from 30 yards four minutes later. If only Casemiro avoided being suspended for last weekend’s game against the Gunners.

What will happen after this?

Manchester United have a chance to secure a place in one domestic final on Wednesday as they take on Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final. They won the first match 3-0, so it must be relatively routine for the people of Erik te Hag.
