According to sources, Raheem Sterling’s £45 million transfer from Manchester City to Chelsea is “down to the final stages.”

Last week, it was reported that City and Chelsea are reaching an agreement for the England international.

The report further claimes these negotiations are nearing completion as Sterling’s transfer to Stamford Bridge approaches.

The west London club also believes the transfer will be finalized in time for the 27-year-old to join them on their preseason tour of the United States next week.

According to reports, Sterling is pleased with the personal terms provided to him and ‘excited’ about the prospect to move back to London, where he lived from the age of five until he joined Liverpool in 2010 (ten years later).

The £45 million deal for the international with 77 caps is said to include up to £10 million in potential add-ons.

Since joining Premier League champions Manchester City from Liverpool in 2015, Sterling has scored 131 goals in 339 games across all competitions.

According to The Independent, Thomas Tuchel’s squad is also willing to sell several attackers in order to reorganize their roster.

According to reports, they are open to bids for Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Timo Werner.
