Spurs hands Chelsea a European spot despite the Villa dramatic last-day defeat. Leicester City, who should have finished fourth, threw away an early lead to suffer a 4-2 defeat at home.

However, Chelsea Boss admits the loss was their responsibility. Also, admitted that luck was on their way after the Spurs finish the job for them.

“True [we made hard work of it], it was our responsibility to lose today,” Tuchel said.

“We had enough chances. The performance was by far good enough to win the game but we didn’t score and conceded two cheap goals.

“And in the end, it was a defeat and we were lucky to escape for today. But overall it [top four] was deserved,” Tuchel admitted.

Although the blues were saved by Spurs, Tuchel adamantly claims they deserved all three points. He said they lacked incisiveness to finish their opportunities.

“We create so many opportunities. [We lacked] composure, last touch, precision. It was a very strong first half an hour. The reaction was very good right after halftime,” Tuchel claimed.

“We had two big chances to score and they get the penalty. And then it’s more or less we create big chances, maybe get handball on the line. We fought, we tried everything but forgot to score,” he explained.

“We knew in the end that we don’t need to take the maximum risk but it was the last five minutes,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers boy fails to hide an early caution after they were trash 4-2 at home.

Earlier, Rodgers had warned not to complicate things and get carried by the obsession of wanting to score. Finally, the results prove they did not follow such warning and end up with a 4-2 loss.
