Chelsea are giving up six players in exchange for Kai Havertz
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants to buy Kai Havertz and plans to sell six players to sign him. Chelsea is the only real option.
According to The Sun, in the near future, Havertz is going to meet with the leaders of Leverkusen and talk about his future. Along with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also wanted to sign the German, but Bild writes that both clubs have finally withdrawn from the fight.
The reason for this is the transfer price of the young player, 90 million euros. The only real candidate remains the London club.
According to Express, the “Aristocrats” will sell six players to pay the transfer price for Havertz. So, Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Danny Drinkwater, Bakayoko, young Robert Kenedy, and Emerson Palmieri are expected to return to Serie A.
A few days ago, The Times also reported that London head coach Frank Lampard was personally interested in acquiring Havertz. He was even ready to let N’golo Kante go due to Kai’s transfer.
After the addition of Havertz, Chelsea will meet significantly stronger next season. Recall that they have already managed to recruit Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
Havertz wants to continue his career in a club where being in the starting lineup is guaranteed. In 39 matches this season, the German has 15 goals and eight assists.
