The Blues lead a table of the most youthful talent lost, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool also seeing a slew of youngsters return to haunt them.

Chelsea’s youth system is perhaps the strongest in the country, consistently producing great talent year after year. However, the European champions have had difficulty keeping several of their young players.

Tariq Lamptey, Tino Livramento, and Declan Rice all departed Chelsea’s academy before getting a chance in the main squad. Rice, who made his Premier League debut nearly five years ago for West Ham, has gone on to become an established Premier League star.

Rice’s market value has risen to about £70 million, but West Ham has stated that obtaining him this summer will cost £150 million.

Marc Guehi and Fikayo Tomori, both defenders, went on to be huge success stories with Crystal Palace and AC Milan, respectively.

Tammy Abraham, who left Chelsea last summer, has also been a success at Roma.

Conor Gallagher, the midfielder, might be the next highly rated player to depart Stamford Bridge after impressing in yet another loan spell, this time at Palace, a well-established Premier League side.

Gallagher’s performance earned him a call-up to England coach Gareth Southgate’s squad. This summer, the 22-year-old has been linked with a permanent move to Palace.

Newcastle and West Ham, on the other hand, are keeping tabs on him.

Chelsea has let go of £296.8 million worth of football talent, according to a study undertaken by BettingOdds.com.

Manchester City, the Premier League champion, isn’t far behind with £201.2 million.

Jadon Sancho, who left for Borussia Dortmund before joining Manchester United last summer, is United’s biggest loss.

Sancho is now said to be worth £72 million.

Serge Gnabry, a German winger, is Arsenal’s biggest loss. In England, the German international suffered with loan moves, but he thrived in his hometown. Gnabry’s outstanding performances won him a transfer to Bayern Munich, where he continues to dazzle.

The remaining top six teams are Liverpool, Southampton, and Manchester United.

Raheem Sterling, a former Reds youth player who joined Man City in the summer of 2015, is now valued at over £75 million.
