The 15th season of the Indian Premier League is not going well for Chennai Super Kings. The four-time IPL winning team is placed second from the bottom of the points table without any points (-1.251) after losing their first three matches of this season.

Seeing the condition of the Yellow Army in the current season, many fans are comparing it with the year 2020. Actually, CSK’s performance in IPL 2020 was very bad and it failed to make it to the last four. Chennai Super Kings will be hoping to stand up to the expectations of their fans in upcoming matches.

In view of the poor performance of Chennai in the ongoing season, 36-year-old former fast bowler Rudra Pratap Singh has given a big statement. He believes that if CSK’s team loses another match this season, then it can be out of the race for the playoffs. According to the former cricketer, this year Chennai Super Kings is not able to perform up to its standards.

Rajasthan Royals aim hit a hat-trick win, clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore today

During a special conversation on Cricbuzz, he said, the loss in three consecutive matches shows that the ongoing season is a difficult time for the Yellow Army. If the team loses another match from here, it will be very difficult for them to make it to the top four. Then the bad net run rate will come in your way, as there are still many matches to be played.

Chennai Super Kings, the favourite of millions, has entered the field with some new players this time. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja is leading the team after Dhoni left the captaincy. The performance of the team under Jadeja has been quite remarkable so far.

In two out of three matches, the team couldn’t score 135 runs mark. The second match looked like going in the favour of Chennai Super Kings. However, towards the end of the innings, the 19th over changed the game.

Losing three in three makes everything difficult onwards. Especially, the team set-up gets perplexed over reasons of loss. Chennai Super Kings has struggled in the batting department. Last season’s top scorer Ruturaj Gaikwad has been disappointing the team so far. For Ravindra Jadeja, it will be hard to decide what approach to take to register a convincing win.
