Inter Miami’s chief football officer and sporting director Chris Henderson understands why talk of Argentine striker Lionel Messi moving to the MLS is of interest, but he doesn’t want to stir up gossip.

What did Henderson say about Lionel Messi?

Lionel Messi is once again seeing questions about his future as the final year of his current contract at PSG ends. There has been talk of an emotional return to Barça for the striker, but plenty of rumors suggest that Messi might be tempted to take on an entirely new challenge by tying himself to the franchise that Red Devils and England legend David Beckham owns in America.

The former American player told reporters when asked about the speculation linking the all-time great with the switch to Florida that he knew Lionel Messi would fit! According to Chris Henderson, it’s great to be associated with amazing players and their club. Chris does not want to comment on anyone who is not on their list and the speculation and rumour, but he is one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Lionel in any team in the world is going to change that team. Henderson does not want to speculate and talk about him in their team, but Lionel Messi changes every league and every team he plays for. “It comes down to what is the character of the player? What is his motivation to come into the league?” – Says the American.

Chris Henderson says the balance between the older players in this league and the younger players comes down to that motivation, the level of the player, why they come, and then being able to integrate them into what they do as a club and where they go.
