Chris Lynn Mocks Brisbane Heat With His Superb Form

It was just this year that Brisbane Heat decided to release Chris Lynn. But for the power hitter things have turned other way as he scored three back to back half centuries for Adelaide Strikers. Yesterday, Lynn scored 37 balls 69, batting till the end and the Strikers won the match comfortably by 20 runs.

Before this match, the 32 years old scored 29 balls 64 against Hobart Hurricanes in a chase of 229 runs. While batting against the Hurricanes in Hobart, the former Heat captain scored 87 off 58 balls. His previous both innings have come in a winning cause as the BBL superstar has already scored 393 runs in 9 innings in BBL 12 so far.

In Big Bash League 2022, Chris Lynn has only been dismissed under score of 20. His strike rate was pretty much criticised but since he has picked his top form, he has been smashing fours and sixes all around the groud. Lynn was always a Brisbane Heat champion and his tuning with McCullum was seen as the best duo performer in the BBL.

Adelaide Strikers Wins By 20 Runs

Adelaide Strikers posted 202 on board against a handy bowling line-up of Melbourne Renegades. Matthew Short continued his golden form as he scored 38 runs. Later after a bit of struggle, Adam Hose banged three sixes and shared a key partnership with Chris Lynn.

Towards the end overs, it was all about Colin De Grandhomme and Chris Lynn. Former scoring 26 runs of Kane Richardson’s over, smashing him all around the park with a hamstring problem. Lynn was key all round as batted till the last over, scoring 16 runs of final.

Lynn’s knock helped Adelaide Strikers to post a big total and win the match easily by 20 runs. They now sit at third place in the BBL points table.

Sam Harper, the wicketkeeper for the Renegades, hit the most runs with 63, while Englishmen Matt Critchley (33 not out) and Will Sutherland (31) added some suspense in the last overs. However, Melbourne was unable to take advantage of de Grandhomme’s unavailability, leaving Adelaide without a sixth bowling option.

Wes Agar, who took the same stats as interim skipper Matt Short, was the Strikers’ preferred bowler (2-26).
