Christian Eriksen opened up on his biggest health fear at Euro 2020 and a return to the PL along with the Bees.

A little about the topic

The Danish footballer reflected on his near-death experience at last summer’s European Championship, confirming he was out of this world for five minutes and also looking into his Brentford debut. Christian has not played competitive football since suffering a cardiac arrest during the Euro 2020 opener against Finland back in June. The Danish footballer had to be resuscitated on the pitch before undergoing extensive testing at the hospital and being fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, now revealing himself in detail in a surreal experience.

What did Christian Eriksen say?

Christian Eriksen said he left this world for five minutes until they got his heartbeat back. According to Christian this is a bit of world experience, strange because it happened and he was where he was, but to see where he is now is very strange. Asked if he remembers what happened before his collapse against Finland, the midfielder replied that he can remember everything except for five minutes, a throw, a kick in the knee and then does not know what happened after. Then Eriksen woke up with those around him and felt pressure on his chest, trying to get his breath back. That time when Eriksen had no idea what happened, then he did something to his legs, did he break his back?

Can he lift his leg, all the little things he tried to do to see what happened then in the ambulance, he heard someone say how long he was out and someone said “five minutes” , and this was the first time Eriksen had heard that he was gone. Christian also expressed his gratitude to the Danish medical staff, his teammates and the thousands of supporters who sent messages to him during his recovery.

Christian Eriksen added that the first thing is to show gratitude to the people around. Teammates, doctors first on the field, team doctors and paramedics and then in the hospital to do everything and check everything and then all messages from people to show support for him and his family it was really nice to see all the messages. According to Christian Eriksen he was very lucky and told them face to face that he was very happy that they did what they did, otherwise he wouldn’t be here.
