Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal are leaving Barcelona. Both players want to receive compensation.
Barcelona players Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal are seeking compensation in exchange for leaving the club. The Uruguayan striker and Chilean midfielder are not in the plans of Ronald Koeman. They have already been informed that they have to leave the team.
However, both of them have a contract with the team and want to receive compensation in exchange for terminating it. According to Sky Sport Italia, the 33-year-old Uruguayan striker is outraged that Barça have turned him down. As it is known, Koeman informed the South American by phone that he is on the list of those leaving the team. The conversation lasted only a minute and a half.
According to reports, Barcelona must pay 14 million euros to terminate the contract with Suarez, which expires in 2021. So, Luis is waiting for Juventus, who are ready to sign him to a 3-year contract after he terminates his contract with Barcelona. Suarez and Juve have already agreed on a personal contract (salary of 10 million euros per year).
As for Vidal, in this case, the information is spread by another influential Italian publication ‘Gazzetta Dello Sport’. It writes that Vidal is asking for a one-year salary in exchange for the termination of the contract, which is 6 million euros without taxes.
It is noteworthy that, like Suarez, Vidal has agreed to a 6-year contract with Inter for a salary of 6 million euros (also bonuses). He is also one of the players who is not included in Koeman’s new project.
Arturo Vidal, 33, spent two seasons at Barcelona, scoring 11 goals in 96 games. On the other hand, Suarez has scored 198 goals in 283 games since 2015.
