Fans have been wondering for a few days now which number Cristiano Ronaldo is going to wear after his sensational return to Manchester United. The English club announced this Thursday that Ronaldo will wear the No.7 shirt, just as he did during his last spell at the club 12 years ago. The Portuguese forward inherits the shirt from Edinson Cavani, who will now wear No.21 for the upcoming season. Cavani has given him the number, and he will wear the No.7 shirt once again.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Manchester United

As we all know, the No.7 is a special number in the history of United, as it has previously been worn by club icons like George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona and David Beckham, it indeed a special number that will not be given to a standard players, and Ronaldo is no standard player, he is a high level, top tier player, with tons and tons of potential in his good old club, he will show us his best in up and coming matches that he will play in, Cristiano Ronaldo is still one of the best player in the world so adapting to his old club again will not be that hard for him. United’s first game after the international break is at home to Newcastle United on September 11 – a game in which Ronaldo could make his debut, and his debut will be such a great thing to see, he probably will have some kind of party, but considering all of the covid regulations it sadly may not happen, but his debut will surely happen in close future.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future

Even though Cristiano Ronaldo is in his last stage of his career, he will still show us great plays and matches, No.7 still has insane potential in him, so only time will show us how much better he will get. All we have to do is to wait and see.
