Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut with Al-Nassr and before taking to the pitch he caused a frenzy with the young mascots who came out onto the pitch hand in hand with the players.
How was everything?
Many of them shouted for Portuguese player’s attention and the boy who had to accompany Cristiano Ronaldo was amazed by his presence. Cristiano, noticing that the boy kept looking at him, gave him a smile. 37 year old player started the match against Al-Ettifaq and was the main sensation of the day in the Saudi Arabian league.
A little about Cristiano Ronaldo
It was a difficult debut for Cristiano, who did come close to the back of the net with a header, but he didn’t mark his first appearance for Al-Nassr with a goal. However, the fans gathered at the match weren’t bothered, they came to see the Portuguese star and were equally as excited as the young children who led Cristiano Ronaldo onto the pitch were.
Brazilian player Anderson Talisca eventually scored the opening goal of the match, with a 1-0 victory putting Al-Nassr to the top of the Saudi league. Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo will now focus on trying to help the Saudi club lift the title in his first season with them.
