Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother has vowed to coax superstar Juve into returning to Sporting CP next season.

Ronaldo’s mother thinks he will make his way back

Cristiano began his sporting career in 2002 before moving on to taking trophy-laden periods at Man Utd and Real, establishing himself as one of the best players in history in the process. The 36-year-old has added to his legacy at Juventus, where he is contracted to stay until 2022, but his mother believes he will make his way back to José Alvalade Stadium this summer. Dolores Aveiro, who lives in Lisbon, spoke to supporters about her son’s future from her balcony as they celebrated their first Primeira Liga title success since 2002 at Sporting’s on Wednesday. According to Dolores she spoke to Ronaldo to get him back and next year, Cristiano will play at the Alvalade Sporting’s stadium.

It has been speculated that Juventus will be looking to cash in on Cristiano before becoming a free agent next year, with several high-profile nagging related to the Portuguese striker heading for the summer transfer window. A possible return to Madrid or United has been discussed for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, while PSG is also leaning towards his signature.

What did the vice chairman say about Ronaldo?

Juventus vice chairman Pavel Nedved silenced speculation around Cristiano in March as he insisted that the veteran forward would honor his contract at the Allianz Stadium. Pavel said that for him, Cristiano shouldn’t be touched. Ronaldo has a contract until June 30, 2022 and will remain. What happens after that is still unclear. The Bianconeri chief confirmed the club’s stance on Cristiano this week, promising that Pirlo head coach services will be retained for the next term.

Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed another season

On an individual level, Cristiano enjoyed another strong season despite Juventus’ failure in both the Champions League and Serie A as Inter completed their nine-year Italian title retention. Portugal Internationale has found the net 35 times in 42 appearances in all competitions, including his 100th career goal for the Bianconeri in a 3-1 win away at Sassuolo midweek.
