Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has signed a contract with Manchester United, following in his superstar father’s footsteps and donning the legendary No 7 shirt.

After Ronaldo Sr completed his Old Trafford comeback, the 11-year-old has played for the club’s academy on several occasions in recent months.

He has now officially signed a professional contract with United.

Surprisingly, his fellow academy talent Gabriel made the first announcement on Instagram after the two signed their contracts at the same time.

‘Delighted to finally have my signing day done even better to have mine with teammates @cristiano JR,’ he tweeted in a post that has received thousands of likes.

Ronaldo’s kid has yet to create his own account, but he has traveled the world with his father, often playing for the same clubs.

Indeed, after leaving Juventus’ academy last summer, he followed him to United.

Ronaldo Sr’s pregnant girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, enthusiastically tweeted photos of Ronaldo Jr signing for his new club.

‘Pursuing our ambitions together,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘Your mother adores you.’

Incredibly, Ronaldo Sr had not yet given birth to his son when he last played for United. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, on the other hand, has no intention of pressuring his child to follow in his footsteps in football.

‘Only time will tell,’ he stated in a Netflix docuseries on his partner Georgina. I’ll never put any pressure on him. He’ll go ahead and do whatever he wants.

‘What I really want for Cristianito and everyone else is for them to be happy and to be able to choose what they want.’ ‘I will help in every way I can.’
