Crystal Palace has stepped up their attempts to sign Manchester United’s outcast, Donny Van De Beek, on loan before the transfer deadline.

The chance to sign the Holland star, Van de Beek, on loan arose at the beginning of the week. It is said that Crystal Palace has held internal talks about the possibility. Fortunately, there is significant hope at Selhurst Park that a deal for the creative midfielder can be successful in time for Monday’s deadline.

Talks between the two clubs are underway with United opening to letting Van de Beek leave this month. Negotiations are said to have been positive raising hope at the south London club that a deal is possible.

Palace was designed to not make a signing this month. But the opportunity to land the 24-year-old has seen the club shift into gear.

Van de Beek has struggled for game time since arriving at Old Trafford in a deal worth £40 million in 2020. He’s made only four Premier League starts in that time and would now welcome the opportunity to play regular first-team football.

The player’s priority is to get more regular first-team football. And if that is to be away from Old Trafford, the feeling is Van de Beek would maintain his value in the summer. Irrespective, Van de Beek’s future will be re-assessed after the season ends when United has a new manager in place.

In that regard, Vieira is hoping to convince Van de Beek that joining Palace is a good move for him with guaranteed first-team football while the Frenchman also wants more experience in his side for the second half of the season.

Valencia is also in discussions with United over the 24-year-old. But there are doubts whether the Spanish side could cover his salary.
