Tottenham has been warned that Heung-min Son will start to doubt his future if Harry Kane leaves this summer, and Darren Anderton expects all of Europe’s top teams to keep a close eye on events in north London.

Harry Kane saw the push

Spurs prepare for a bustling transfer window as they continue their search for a managerial successor to Jose Mourinho, and are aware of valuable assets in the storefront. Mascot hitter Harry Kane has seen the push for contentious exits as the England captain is keen to plant the massive silver crockery that has eluded him so far, and it could be that one original delivers a domino effect that sees others wrap around their options.

What did Anderton say?

Darren Anderton fears it will, as the former Spurs winger – speaking to the association – said that if Harry Kane left Tottenham, he thinks Heung-min Son would start questioning his future. All players do. According to Darren, if you see a teammate, go ahead and leave you disappointed. Why don’t you be at this point too, if you can’t handle it next season, you’ll ask questions yourself. Sure, you are happy for your teammate if he goes further and wins the Premier League somewhere or the Champions League, but there will be a little envy that you want that too. Anderton also said you want a piece of this. And if you don’t believe this will happen in the club you are in, you will start thinking about moving on. Heung-min Son is a great guy, he loves Tottenham. Anderton thinks they can see it all and doesn’t think there is anything to worry about yet, but if the club doesn’t get back on this path of improvement and return to the Champions League, your top players will start to question whether they want to be there.
