Australia vs Pakistan

Team Australia has arrived in Pakistan. No wonder, in a cricket culture nation, they were greeted with hospitality. The players have received the head of state level security for safety concerning issues.

We have always heard about the worst opponents but there are few players who have favorite opponents. A similar case goes with David Warner and the Pakistan team. A player that Pakistani fans wished didn’t come as an opponent. However, the left-hander destructor is in Pakistan and ready to take on his favorite opponents.

David Warner has always savagely plundered Pakistani bowlers in Australia. His test records against Pakistan looks unreal.

When it comes to centuries, Warner sits at top having scored 5 mighty triple figures versus Pakistan. His top score of 335 not out came against Pakistan in November 2019 at the Adelaide Oval.

Also, he is the only player with more than five innings at the highest level to average 100 or more (108.40) against Pakistan. Even with the obvious caveat that his last two campaigns have been contested on familiar Australian soil, the 35-year-last old’s five innings have generated scores of 144, 113, 55, 154, and 335no.

Not only he scores big runs but he does it in style, that is what makes him a feared batsman. In Asia, he scores 67 off every 100 balls which is quite remarkable if pitch conditions are taken into account.

In the New Year’s test at SCG, he hammered a ton within the first session. Due to his style of play, he always looks prolific in form when he bats. And he is one of just two opening hitters in Test cricket history to have an average over 100 against Pakistan.

The other batsman is another left-hander Usman Khawaja, his probable first-wicket partner for the next series (102.67).

Because of the increasingly rigorous playing schedule, Warner has already hinted that he may need to consider reducing his international limited format cricket.

Despite having the poorest scoring rate (50.74) of any of his Test series in Australia during the 2017 Vodafone Ashes, Warner stated over the summer that he was motivated by the chance of winning a Test series in India, which is projected to be scheduled in early 2023.
