Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings by 9 wickets. The match was pretty much one sided as Punjab Kings only managed to score 115 runs on a good looking pitch.
In this match, Delhi Capitals’s bowling and batting attack played an instruments role. This is Delhi Capitals’ third win in IPL 2022. Batting first, Punjab Kings gave a target of 116 runs to the Delhi team, which Delhi Capitals hunted down without making much fuss.
Delhi achieved the target in 10.3 overs after bowling out Punjab for 115 runs. David Warner scored 60 in 30 balls. Prithvi Shaw and David Warner shared 83 runs for the first wicket. Prithvi Shaw scored 41 runs in 20 balls. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav showed a great presence of mind, they anticipated well while bowling and kept line and lengths accurate and tight. Akshar Patel took 2 wickets for 10 runs in his quota of four overs while Kuldeep bagged 2 key wicket of after being smashed in the first two overs.
