Shane Watson is currently handling the responsibility as the assistant coach of the Delhi Capitals team. He has confirmed the arrival of David Warner and Anrich Nortje.

Delhi Capitals bought former captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad for 6.25 crore in this year. However, David Warner has previously played for Delhi Daredevils. Also, pacer Anrich Nortje was retained by the Delhi team. He had some fitness issues and has been off the field for some time due to back and hip injuries.

Fans are waiting for 2 veteran foreign players to join the Delhi Capitals team in  search of their first title. Both of the players have the quality to win the match single handedly and their addition to the team will give a great boost of confidence to other players.

The Delhi team, which suffered a crushing 14-run defeat in the last match against Gujarat Titans, will now face the Lucknow Super Giants today at the DY Patil Stadium. Delhi’s effort will be to win this match and return to the good form they are known for. Meanwhile, there is good news for Delhi that both Warner and Nortje will be available for selection in this match.

Just a day before their next match against Lucknow, Delhi Capitals assistant coach Shane Watson has also confirmed the good news for Delhi fans. This will strengthen both the batting and bowling attack of the team. Watson said in the pre-match conference, ‘David Warner is now out of isolation. He is available for the next match (against Lucknow). Anrich Nortje has passed the fitness test and he will also be available.

Watson also clarified that Mitchell Marsh’s play in the match against Lucknow is doubtful. He is still recovering from the injury he suffered during training ahead of the one-day matches against Pakistan. Watson addded, ‘Mitch Marsh is making really good progress. He may be available for selection but he has one more training session yet to come.

Delhi Capitals are in big need of experience in the top order and David Warner is the man they can bet on. On the other hand, Anrich Nortje will solve Delhi’s death over bowling issue. Nortje bowls at good pace and is adept at troubling the best of batsmen in the world.
