London Derby

Tottenham Hotspur are in good shape, Arsenal – no. The Spurs are practically no longer accustomed to losing at home to the Gunners.

The main game of the 11th round of the English Premier League will be held between Tottenham and Arsenal. The North London derby is always special, and the expectations are still high. However, this time the pair have a favorite, and he is the team of Jose Mourinho who is in great shape.

Tottenham lost at home to Everton in the first round of the Premier League, but have not lost nine Premier League games in a row since then and are leading the game with Liverpool by 21 points. In the middle of the week, “Spurs” won the right to play in the playoffs of the Europa League. So, they meet the principle game in a great mood. The situation is the opposite in Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s chair is shaken, and a convincing victory over Vienna Rapid in the Europa League will not improve the situation. The “Gunners” are doing disastrously in the Premier League and are in the 14th place with 13 points.

Arsenal have won their last six Premier League games on November 1 at Old Trafford against Manchester United. The British press has been actively talking about the possible release of Arteta. So, the North London derby may have a decisive impact on the future of the Spaniard.

Tottenham, apart from being in good shape and Mourinho having already adjusted his key to the team, are not complaining about staffing problems either. Only Eric Lamela’s game is ruled out, but the team has long been accustomed to being without the Argentine. Arsenal will not be helped by Nicolas Pepe, Thomas Parte and Gabriel Martinelli. The issue of David Lewis is yet to be clarified.
