Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik heaped praise on top-order batsman Rajat Patidar for his unbeaten 112 off 54 balls for his 14-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022 Eliminator at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday. With four wickets at 115/4 for Bengaluru, Patidar completed his maiden IPL century in 49 balls with 12 fours and seven sixes in the 18th over.

He and Karthik (who remained unbeaten on 37 off 25 balls) scored 84 runs in the last five overs to take Bangalore to 207/4 in 20 overs.
