Dinesh Karthik Has The Ability To Take RCB To IPL 2022 Final

After the defeat against New Zealand in the semi-final match of the ICC World Cup 2019, some players of the country were blamed. A big name among these players was also the country’s explosive 36-year-old wicket-keeper player Dinesh Karthik.

Evidently, he didn’t get a chance to play for India again. However, he continued to impress with batting ability in the T20 format of the game.  During this, he continued to shine like a pole star in domestic cricket and IPL. In the last few seasons of IPL, Dinesh Karthik has been near to perfection in finishing off the games in style. Because of his form, he was appointed as the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders team.

However, he was soon dropped due to not getting the expected performance from the other players of the team. Not only this, before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, all the teams were offered to retain their maximum four players. During this, KKR’s team decided to leave Dinesh Karthik for Shreyas Iyer.

Dinesh Karthik got the support of Royal Challengers Bangalore after being despised by KKR before the mega auction. The franchise added Karthik with him for a huge amount of Rs 5 crore 50 lakh. After joining the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, Karthik is seen batting like a 26-year-old instead of 36 and is playing the role of finisher in the team well.

He played a key role in winning the RCB with explosive batting down the order in a nearly lost match against Rajasthan Royals yesterday. He played a fine innings of 44 runs against RR in just 23 balls with the help of seven fours and a six.

After this brilliant innings of Dinesh Karthik, the expectations of RCB team from him have increased a lot. Royal Challengers Bangalore has never had their hands on the IPL trophy. In the current season, the team has a very balanced set-up which makes them a serious contender for the title. If the RCB team wants to fulfil its dream, then Dinesh Karthik will have to continue to perform consistently down the order.
